View From Tycoon
Another photo from my Utah trip. We were skiing on a very steep trail and there was a moment where the trees let up and there was an incredible view of the snow covered mountains. But what really steals the show for me is the lake, and the shade of blue that it is. It is one of my favorite shots. Taken with Nikon D810.
Looking Out
Probably the best shot I took while in Utah; this was on top of one of the mountains, and I was looking at the wonderful views when this woman came out of nowhere and crashed into the shot. So I improvised and took a photo of her in front of the background and it turned out great. I am trying to get in touch with the mountain management to get the photo to them. Taken with Nikon D810.
Portrait 1
This was one of the first photos taken with my new camera. Another peer from school, Alessia, was kind enough to lend me her face for a quick test. I positioned a light box that was on a table to be facing upwards towards her face and then I got my camera set up at eye level. The results were great, and it is one of my best portraits yet. Taken with Nikon D810.
Moon 1
I have a passion for astrophotography and I try to indulge it whenever I have a chance, but weather often shuts me down. But, one night it was exceptionally clear and I was able to get a longer exposure of a very bright moon. When I imported the photo into Capture One, and bumped up the exposure I noticed that I got a TON of stars in the photo. The more the merrier in my opinion. Taken with Nikon D5100.
Big Ben
This is a photo of Big Ben in London. I had a great month there this past summer and was lucky enough to capture a bit of the city's beauty. This was a lucky shot for me because my camera was virtually dead by the time I took this photo. I could only take two more shots after this one, and those didn't come out well at all. It was a combination of trial/error, improvisation, and luck that I managed to get the settings right.
