Little Details
There are a few common subjects that I take the majority of images of, landscape, wildlife, and detailed nature portraits. The beach falls into the first and last categories on that list. This is a detailed photo of the end of a wave on the shore. I really like all of the details that you can see in the water, especially how they criss cross over each other and seem somewhat removed from the sand underneath. I knew that I wanted to get a photo like this, but my reflexes are too slow for me to get this shot by feel alone. So I set the camera to burst, and when I felt like the wave was getting into the proper spot I held down the shutter. Then it just was a matter of sorting through the images on the computer.
Iguana 4 - What you look'n at?
An animal that likes to hang around a lot are iguanas. They usually relax in the sun, and are slow to move, but can spontaneously jump into trees and climb all the way up to the top (seen in the 3rd/4th photo). This is one that is on the beach, as they like both the sand and grass. I used a telephoto lens, because I didn't want to get too close to this dragon-looking thing; can you really blame me though?
