Relaxing Bear
Another relaxed bear. They truly take on some very human-like characteristics, I was able to catch this bear sitting up in the little pond, seemingly questioning some deep issues of his existence.
Walking Bear
A more “traditional” bear photo, you really get to see the sheer power that these animals wield. They are incredibly strong and are able to run at up to 30 mph.
Bear Sitting in a Pond
This photo was taken at a bear sanctuary, and as such the bears were very relaxed. This bear was so comfortable that he decided to take a soak while we were all taking pictures of him. The real question is, what is the bear thinking about?
Hot Spring Rock Formation
This rock formation is the result of millions of years worth of bacteria smoothing out the rock that was right next to the hot springs. It left the land with a very acidic smell, but a very smooth texture.
Top Down View of a Hot Spring
The view of an active hot spring, 10ft up. The amount of activity that is going on in the water is astounding. So much so that it could be mistaken for an arial shot 10,000ft up in the air.
Wedding Night at a Rodeo
Two locals had just gotten married right before the Livingston rodeo had started, so the bride still had her dress on, and was walking with her new husband back home after a long day. But not without attracting some attention first.
Ducks in a Lake
This is an image of a few ducks on a pond, trying to score some breakfast. Though the trees’ reflections look fake, the light was so good, and the trees so green that the natural colors were this vivid in real life.
Mid-Flight
I captured a yellow-headed bird, mid-flap, to see all of the detail in its wings while it flies.
Yellowstone Road
Just a different preemptive as I looked down one of Yellowstone’s long roads. The roads that only account for less than a percent of the total area of the park, even though they are present throughout the whole area.
Photo Leader
A good photo of my groups photo leader, Casey, who gave lots of good advice throughout the trip. He is an incredibly talented professional photographer and videographer, and I was very lucky to have him give me advice on my trip.
Mangled Tree
We were hiking and I came across this very mangled tree. The light was very soft and just hit the aging work perfectly. The branches reflected the light in an almost lyrical way.

Another, more complete, tree on the same trail as before. Some of these trees were displaced due to the wildfires in the late 80s.
